AI Support Terms of Service

1. Introduction

1.1 Welcome. Welcome to LawyerCheck. These Terms of Service for AI Support ("AI Terms") govern your use of LawyerCheck AI Support (the "AI Agent"), an automated assistant offered as part of the LawyerCheck platform (the "Platform") operated by RMA Media LLC ("LawyerCheck," "we," "us," or "our").

1.2 Acceptance. By using the AI Agent in any way — whether by typing a message, clicking a chat button, or otherwise interacting with the assistant — you agree to be bound by these AI Terms. If you do not agree to these AI Terms, do not use the AI Agent. Continued use after we update these AI Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

1.3 Relationship to Other Terms. These AI Terms apply in addition to LawyerCheck's general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of a direct conflict between these AI Terms and LawyerCheck's general Terms of Service, these AI Terms control with respect to your use of the AI Agent specifically.

1.4 Eligibility. You must be at least 13 years old to use the AI Agent. By using the AI Agent, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these AI Terms.

2. What the AI Agent Is and Is Not

2.1 What the AI Agent Is. LawyerCheck AI Support is an automated, software-driven assistant that uses large language model technology to respond to user questions about the LawyerCheck Platform. The AI Agent is designed to help users with: account-related questions, writing and editing reviews, finding lawyers on the Platform, navigating the Platform and understanding how features work, and basic information about the Platform itself.

2.2 What the AI Agent Is NOT. The AI Agent is NOT: a lawyer, law firm, or legal professional; a substitute for consulting a qualified attorney; authorized to give recommendations about which specific lawyer you should hire; authorized to evaluate or assess the strength, merit, or value of any specific legal case; a medical professional, financial advisor, tax preparer, accountant, therapist, or any other licensed professional; designed to handle sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or confidential case details; or a human.

2.3 No Attorney-Client Relationship. Your use of the AI Agent does NOT create an attorney-client relationship between you and LawyerCheck, the AI Agent, or any lawyer listed on the Platform. Communications with the AI Agent are not protected by attorney-client privilege.

3. Limitations of the AI Agent

3.1 Accuracy and Errors. The AI Agent uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading. The AI Agent may produce "hallucinated" content — statements that sound confident but are not true. You should NOT rely on AI Agent responses as a source of factual truth.

3.2 No Guarantee of Availability. The AI Agent is provided "as is" and "as available." LawyerCheck does not guarantee that the AI Agent will be available at all times, free of errors, or capable of answering every question.

3.3 Topics the AI Agent Will Refuse. The AI Agent is designed to refuse: legal advice of any kind; recommendations about which specific lawyer to hire; evaluations of any legal case; drafting of legal documents; strategic advice on lawsuits or legal disputes; medical, financial, tax, or other professional advice; harassing or harmful content; and tasks unrelated to LawyerCheck Platform support.

4. Your Obligations and Acceptable Use

4.1 Acceptable Use. You agree to use the AI Agent only for lawful purposes and only for the purposes described in Section 2.1. You agree not to attempt to circumvent or jailbreak the AI Agent, use it to harass others, scrape data, impersonate any person, or use it for any commercial enterprise without express written permission from LawyerCheck.

4.2 Sensitive Information. DO NOT share with the AI Agent: Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, passwords, financial account numbers, credit card information, medical records, confidential case details, attorney-client communications, or any other sensitive or confidential information. LawyerCheck cannot guarantee the protection of such information if voluntarily shared.

5. Privacy, Conversations, and Data

5.1 Your Conversations Are Not Private. You expressly acknowledge and agree that conversations with the AI Agent are NOT confidential or private. LawyerCheck may record, store, review, analyze, and otherwise use the contents of your AI Agent conversations for purposes including: evaluating AI responses, improving the platform, training AI systems, detecting violations, and responding to legal process.

5.2 Identifiable Information. LawyerCheck may associate your AI Agent conversations with your LawyerCheck account and other identifiers such as IP address and device information.

5.3 Third-Party AI Service Providers. LawyerCheck uses third-party artificial intelligence service providers to power the AI Agent. Your conversations are transmitted to and processed by these service providers in accordance with their respective terms and privacy policies.

5.4 Data Retention. LawyerCheck may retain AI Agent conversation records for as long as deemed necessary. You may request deletion by contacting LawyerCheck through the Platform's support channels.

6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

6.1 No Warranty. The AI Agent is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation.

6.2 Limitation of Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LawyerCheck and its officers, directors, employees, members, agents, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages of any kind arising from or related to your use of the AI Agent.

6.3 Reliance on AI Agent Responses. You expressly assume all risk associated with your reliance on AI Agent responses. LawyerCheck has no liability for any decision you make or action you take based on an AI Agent response.

7. Changes; Termination; General

7.1 Changes. LawyerCheck may update these AI Terms at any time. Your continued use of the AI Agent after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

7.2 Termination. LawyerCheck may suspend or terminate your access to the AI Agent at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these AI Terms.

7.4 Governing Law. These AI Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

7.5 Venue and Jurisdiction. Any dispute arising from these AI Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
