Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 25, 2026
Our commitment
LawyerCheck is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Measures we take
- Use semantic HTML throughout the site so assistive technologies can interpret content correctly.
- Provide text alternatives for non-text content, including attorney photos and icons.
- Ensure sufficient color contrast between text and background.
- Make all interactive elements (buttons, links, form fields) reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
- Honor user preferences for reduced motion.
- Label all form inputs and announce form errors to screen readers.
- Provide a "Skip to main content" link for screen reader and keyboard users.
- Test with axe DevTools, WAVE, NVDA, VoiceOver, and JAWS regularly.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. WCAG defines three levels: A, AA, and AAA. LawyerCheck is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard yet.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of LawyerCheck, there may be limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
